Submission Guidelines

Submission in CLSR is guided by a rigorous procedure that is geared towards ensuring impartiality, effectiveness, and quality of research. The authors are advised to study the scope of the journal, author guidelines, formatting instructions, and policy prior to submitting their manuscript.

All papers must demonstrate original content that has never been published before or submitted elsewhere. Papers must be written in line with the format and ethics of publishing of the journal for easier evaluation.

Submission Process

Step 1 Prepare the Manuscript

  • Manuscript should adhere to the format of the journal.
  • Manuscript should be within the scope of the journal.
  • Manuscript must have all necessary sections and documents.
  • References and citations must be complete and correct.

Step 2 Submit the Manuscript

  • Submit the manuscript via the online submission system.
  • Supply author details completely.
  • Add declarations and supplementary material, where necessary.
  • Ensure that all submission criteria have been met.

Step 3 Editorial Screening

The Editorial Office conducts an initial assessment to evaluate:

  • Relevance to the journal's scope
  • Scientific quality
  • Originality of the work
  • Compliance with ethical standards
  • Completeness of the submission
  • Adherence to formatting guidelines

Step 4 Peer Review

Appropriate papers are selected for evaluation by impartial reviewers using a double-blind peer-review system. The reviewers judge the scientific merit, originality, methodology, and significance of the research before issuing any recommendations to the editorial board.

Step 5 Revision

Manuscripts are open for revisions by the authors according to comments of reviewers and editorial board. Revisions of manuscripts may go through an additional reviewing process, if necessary.

Step 6 Editorial Decision

The decision on publishing a manuscript is made by the Editor-in-Chief in accordance with reviewer and editorial board suggestions and scientific value of the manuscript.

Step 7 Production

Manuscripts accepted for publication go through copy-editing, proofreading, typesetting, authors' approval and publication online.

Manuscript Format Guidelines

The authors are requested to write their papers in a straightforward manner, preferably using a standard word-processing format (Microsoft Word preferred). The paper should have a logical flow and contain all necessary sections. A typical manuscript should contain:

  • Title of the manuscript
  • Full names & affiliations of all authors
  • Corresponding author's email
  • Abstract (200–300 words)
  • 4–8 relevant keywords
  • Introduction
  • Materials and Methods
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion
  • Acknowledgements (if applicable)
  • Funding Statement
  • Conflict of Interest Statement
  • Ethical Approval Statement
  • Data Availability Statement
  • References (journal's citation style)
All figures and tables must be appropriately numbered and captioned and must be cited in the main text. All images must have high resolution, whereas all graphs and figures must be appropriately labeled. Authors are strongly encouraged to use scientific names and standard abbreviations within the manuscript.

Before You Submit

Before submitting your manuscript, please ensure that you have reviewed the following checklist. These recommendations make the publication process faster and allow the journal to handle manuscripts in a convenient manner.

The manuscript is original and has not been previously submitted.
All authors have seen and agreed to the submission.
The manuscript conforms to the journal's style guidelines.
Ethical approval has been obtained when necessary.
References are provided and properly cited.
Potential conflicts of interest have been declared.
Funding sources have been acknowledged where appropriate.
Tables, figures, and additional files are adequately referenced.
All required declarations and supplementary files have been uploaded.
